BTS did a great job and they deserve to be congratulated. However, I will say that AKP is milking the whole BBMAs thing too much. Be like Soompi and make 1-3 cohesive articles instead of making a mess of random lists and one sentence "quotes". Oh, and to prevent any attacks and unnecessary accusations, I'm going to congratulate BTS on their win.

Kpop fans are the best only in the moment.. But they quickly move on to other groups as soon as the current group looses popularity.. I'm super worried about BTS, with this sudden popularity they gained, it can easily be lost, with one wrong word or action... Sometimes their popularity declines randomly just like that.. Remember when BAP were becoming super popular, look at them now? Or Beast? Or Exo, it feels like they are slowly becoming forgotten... It's like this popularity wagon comes and goes so quickly... I really hope the same doesn't happen to BTS, but I've been into kpop for 9 years now, and this cycle seems to go on every single time.. There is not ONE group that I've witnessed who kept it's popularity.. Even Big Bang's popularity declined.. It's sad.. but these young teenage fans with raging hormones aren't really all that loyal.

i both see your point and get what you wanna say, but also kinda disagree with /all/ groups eventually fading out. groups that establish themselves and make that impact won't just fade out that easily, trust me, names like exo and bigbang aren't less popular now, they are just not hyped and talked about that much rn since they are not actively promoting, but the moment they'll have a comeback the fans come back with that too. i've been a vip since '09 and i've seen it happen every time, and bigbang is actually a very good example for one established group that lived through even the heaviest of scandals. i'd say that kpop fandoms listen to a lot of groups but they are usually loyal as heck to their biases. for those i-fans whose first contact with kpop was bts, there might be a layer that will take this as a chance to discover the genre and other groups, and they might find someone else, but i'd say even for them bts will remain a memorable group because no one forgets their first contact with kpop. i dunno, i guess i'm just more positive about this. :)

It's not like they're not loyal .. It's just that the older fans are leaving

veilless Hyeriioo Wednesday, May 24, 2017

also, a lot of older groups don't get proper promotions these days. when you kept in the dungeon while a bunch of others keep making music for the mass, it's a no brainer that people will listen to what's out.

it's mostly the international fans that move one from one popular kpop group to the next. The korean fans are really loyal to their faves. Even though groups like Scheskies, BigBang, Super Junior, SNSD etc....are more than 10 years old into the industry, their korean fanbase hasn't died or betrayed them. Even though Highlight has suffered a lot, their korean fanbase didn't leave them. I doubt Exo's popularity are declining, there is a lot of hype for their next comeback. With Bts's case, their fandom has been steadily growing year by year and I don't BTS's popularity will die anytime soon unless they stop making good music (which they won't because music is their passion).

Really glad they won, although I'm not really an Army :) It's cool that they're getting so much attention abroad as well, they truly are well-known!

This seems so unreal. Wow... I remember when I started listening to kpop being an international kpop fan was like being in cult, very few people knew about it. And now to see them get an award is a huge achievement.

It's unfortunate that posting a valid point can bring in a wave of attacks from certain people.

allexyah LveKimTae Thursday, May 25, 2017

Because I like BTS and I enjoy reading about them, but that doesn't mean I can't spot a shitty written article with inocous content about my babies when I see it. Just like I spot fucking turds with eyes even from their keyboard content
