On April 7, singer Ock Joo Hyun made an appearance on MBC FM4U 'Kim Shin Young's Hope Song at Noon', where she commented on 90's girl group Fin.K.L's potential reunion.

DJ Kim Shin Young asked regarding S.E.S' comeback, "What are your thoughts on S.E.S' reunion?"  Ock Joo Hyun replied, "I hope it goes well."

The DJ then commented, "I was wondering why Fin.K.L wasn't reuniting."  Ock Joo Hyun explained, "We want to keep it a mystery. It wasn't like that in the past, however. That's why when we don't perform we keep things a mystery."

She continued, "I mentioned earlier that Sung Yuri seems to be the most successful out of the Fin.K.L members. I just happened to meet up with her before and that's why I mentioned her name. To be honest, we just go with the flow."

A very ambiguous answer...

  1. Fin.K.L
  2. Ock Joo Hyun
  3. S.E.S

If ock joo hyun was the leader they might've reunited, but with Hyori not keeping in touch with her hoobaes since 2001, they probably don't "love" each other enough to reunite. Sechskies, GOD, SES, and even HOT's solo member activities aren't doing that great so they needed to reunite. Finkl doesn't, all the girls are doing fine.

What are you talking about... there are lots of members from those groups you have listed that have been doing fine after their groups disbandments.

I think that all the groups mentioned done well on their own, some of them even had concerts long after their peak area. It is just bc hyori excels does not mean everyone is in the dump. Bada esp performs a lot and she is great in immortal songs

Lee Hyori also said she want to keep the memories of FinKL as "good memories", she thinks that some of the members are not able to keep up with the demands of a girl group, (in terms of stamina and singing ability at their age) and rather than comeback and give a disappointing performance, she rather the fans remember them back in the 90s when the group was doing well. I think its like how some sportsman prefer to retire from the sports at their peak performance and when they are ranked world number 1, rather than go on and on, and retire from their world ranking drop to like #10 or less, and the fans and media will only remember them as a "Used to be good" player, and not "the legendary number one" player.

MyTwoCent Saturday, April 8, 2017 she considers Sung Yuri to be the "most successful one in the group"?? there's definitely a disconnect with the other member.

that's not what she explained though....

Off Topic: AKP's Wibbitz video thing-a-mabob is causing you tube videos to drop in framerate for me. I have You Tube running on another tab and it became noticeably choppy until I closed  AKP or paused Wibbitz. Anyone noticing this?

I heard the rest of the members aren't close with Lee Hyori, but hopefully they work out their differences because i would love to see more 1st gen idols active again!

I heard this too! That Juhyun, Yuri and Lee Jin stay in touch but none of them know what's up with Hyori
