SM Entertainment revealed on March 30 that it has made a strategic investment in Mystic Entertainment, a label headed by singer/song writer CEO Yoon Jong Shin. SME has also become Mystic Entertainment's largest shareholder with an acquisition of 28% in Mystic's shares.
Much like SM Entertainment, Mystic Entertainment is a multi-faceted entertainment label, managing not only artists for music content but also actors, producers, and more. By establishing a business partnership with Mystic Entertainment, SM Entertainment hopes to enlarge its musical spectrum, while also supporting Mystic in its own efforts to grow into a global music label.
Mystic Entertainment's producing team, headed by Yeo Woon Hyuk PD, will also work closely with SM C&C for drama, variety, film, mobile, and web media content.
