The singer started his military service on March 28, but just 4 days later, he's had to leave for health circumstances. On March 31, his agency Jellyfish Entertainment stated, "His unit told us Seo In Guk had been ordered to return home this afternoon around 5PM KST. It's been confirmed he has a health issue."

The label further revealed he has an osteochondral lesion, which is an injury or small fracture of the cartilage surface, on his left ankle. Though the military was aware of the injury, it wasn't until further examination that the extent of Seo In Guk's condition was discovered.

Seo In Guk had been receiving treatment in the military until his discharge, which he was personally against. Jellyfish also stated, "He plans to be examined once again at the regional Military Manpower Administration Office. He'll return to the army after another health examination."

this happens a lot in us basic training too. someone will get all the way to bmt and then they'll pass out from like bumping their head on a bunk bed and they'll go to the clinic for a possible concussion but the doctors will tell them that they have to be medically discharged for a heart condition that they found instead

I like him :(, if he can't do it, just don't do it :(. To send him home, it must mean it was bad :(.

If somebody gives him shit for this I'm gonna have to fight somebody.

Same here. He's upset enough having to leave against will. He's been romanticizing army life for many months.

It might be that the S.K MILITARY is *not* well equipped to determine precisely the extent of SEO IN GUK's injury. So, since SIG has money to PAY good doctors to examine him, and recommend maybe a treatment NOT available in the S.K MILITARY ; why not have SIG do exactly that. IF SIG can prove via *expert* DOCTOR evaluation that he is okay enough for the S.K MILITARY, then SIG can return. It makes a *lot* of sense to do what *appears* to be some kind of 'pending' discharge in this manner. Mostly, S.K MILITARY doctors want to deal with more *obvious* and *normal* type injuries. Some kind of 'odd and lingering' BONE PROBLEM, related to maybe NERVES and TENDONS in his ankle, is NOT something that the S.K MILITARY wants to deal with it. And again, SIG has the MONEY to hire a PRIVATE SPECIALIST DOCTOR ; so *let him* do exactly that.

It *seems* like SIG should be 'good enough' for say 'Clerical Support' type work in the S.K MILITARY. They should 'find a way' to have him 'get through' the 'basic training.' And then SIG does something userful and needed. But NOT involving running around in the FIELD carrying a heavy backpack or like that.

Whatever the reality is...... lets just pray for him to get well soon so he can back to camp..... 😊

sph_7 krell Friday, March 31, 2017

No, they must send ppl with these conditions home. Don't assume his income is relevant. The army is not responsible to treat patients. They just do the screening to prevent "killing" those who have preexisting conditions.

I was like "Didn't he just enlist?" I hope he's okay and gets everything settled out

seochulgoo Friday, March 31, 2017
