Eric Nam is leaving his MC position on tvN talk show 'Life Bar'.

On March 14, a representative from the show confirmed that Eric Nam will be leaving the show. The rep stated, "This week's episode is the last (with Eric). He was scheduled to appear temporarily from the beginning. He's going to start promoting as a singer soon. The producers want to give support and let him go."

That's odd since the show just recently started. I understand he wants to promote more as a musician but at the same time, it's the variety shows that really help an artists career by getting to be more known by the public. I think it helps you out more than the other way around.

I watched a few episodes of Life Bar, to be honest, Eric seemed to be a bit awkward. I don't think he fit with Shin Dong-yup and Tak Jae-hoon's MC style.

Eric has been weird lately... his actions (nothing malicious) have seemed a bit mysterious.

krell grumps Tuesday, March 14, 2017 ... <-- Apparently, ERIC NAM is a bit 'disenchanted' with some aspects of his AGENCY (work) situation. So, probably, *guessing* that NAM was looking to do work activities a bit *differently* than what he had been doing it recently. Which, maybe NOT a 'big surprise' that NAM is leaving the 'LIFE BAR' TV Show?

I agree. His goal was to do music, not be weighed down doing variety shows. It's probably one of the reasons he left his old company, because they treated him as a reporter, not as a musician. Then he comes to this new company, and while he's doing better in terms of releasing more music and becoming more popular, he's still doing variety shows which can be a distraction to a musician. Variety shows have long taping hours sometimes, so I can see why he doesn't want to do too many

He never really left B2M, or maybe more accurately B2M isn't out of the picture. CJ E&M signed both Eric and SPICA (which has now left) from B2M but still produced their music, with CJ doing the promotions. It's a weird partnership that's not a partnership between the two companies.

ATA hokuhi Tuesday, March 14, 2017

ah, then that may also be part of the problem? That he hasn't fully been free from the company who didn't promote him well? You're right, it's a weird partnership

hokuhi ATA Tuesday, March 14, 2017

Yeah, it is weird. B2M has been producing the music for just about all CJ artist over the past year. Even when Eric made the post about not being respected by his company it was B2M that made the official statement to the media.
