BigHit Entertainment and Pledis Entertainment -- two agencies that enjoyed a great 2016 with their artists' success -- interviewed with XSports News to share what their plans are for year 2017!

BigHit Entertainment: "BTS to grow globally!"

BTS is the group that continues to break records on Billboard, Gaon, and others. 2016 was their best year so far in the third year since debut. 2017 will be another global year for the group, as they will begin their world tour in February 2017 in Korea, Chile, Brazil, and the U.S. BTS aims to be even more recognized for their music this year, as the members can write and produce their own songs.

On the small screen, V hopes to gain more attention as 'Hwarang: The Beginning' is airing currently, and Rap Monster and Jungkook also have plans to make more individual appearances on variety shows and other areas.

There is little chance for a new boy group to debut from BigHit this year, an agency staff shared on December 20. He said, "We are preparing for a new group but have no definite plans." Producer Bang Shi Hyuk also made similar remarks back in November during his interview with XSports News.

Pledis Entertainment: "Seventeen and Han Dong Geun to stay active; Pledis Girlz to debut"

Seventeen debuted successfully last year, winning many 'Rookies Awards.' The group will be holding their first official fan meeting in February, building their fandom even further. They will also be doing 6 concerts in Japan in Kobe and Yokohama. Seventeen plans to meet the public with songs written by members in 2017.

Pledis Girlz, who are gaining a lot of attention even before debuting, will be holding a concert in January -- the last event before their official debut. Their official group name will be announced at the concert! When IOI's promotions are over, the two members -- Im Na Young and Pinky-- will be the core of the team and the group will actively promote in the early months of 2017.

Han Dong Geun is working hard to complete songs for his upcoming album that will be released in the first half of 2017. UEE and Nana will continue to focus on their acting careers. NU'EST will be working together as a team as well as spend time working individually.

i think one boy group and one girl group is enough but well there thoughts are different

nadroky Thursday, December 22, 2016

and still no After School or Orange Caramel

Philip_Jacobsson Thursday, December 22, 2016

Pledis should name the "Pledis Girlz" as "S-Line Generation"! :P Well suited considering all their bodies!

LilBmw Thursday, December 22, 2016

I heard BigHit have a girl group someone in their company, they just aren't debuting them

Excavation LilBmw Thursday, December 22, 2016

Well in 2014 they said they were gonna debut this one boy group, 2015 said another boy group, this year BigHit members were caught attending BTS' concert. And also rumours they have a girl group, so that means they have enough trainees for 3 groups.

the group glam.. i remember their facebook page got updated in October with a picture saying reborn, then when people caught notice of it bighit took down the page so i think it will be a girl group. i feel like that would be best considering BTS is still relatively new

micki_minach365 Thursday, December 22, 2016

seventeen will surpass exo and bts, I can feel it...

diela_uknow7 micki_minach365 Thursday, December 22, 2016

Please don't compare with other group. It hurts other fandom even though you don't intend to do it

Excavation micki_minach365 Thursday, December 22, 2016

Sorry but EXO and BTS aren't going to be beatable for years to come. They're already hit 1+ million album sales on 3 albums and have easily hit 350k album sales on their first week on all their albums, while Seventeen struggles to even hit 300k after months. Sure Seventeen is big atm but Pledis is over exposing them, I've seen so much of Seventeen's releases that I've gotten sick of them. And btw I'm not a hater, I was an ex-carat.

Davidclol Thursday, December 22, 2016

Yes, I want another BigHit group.  Please

vincentrob11 Thursday, December 22, 2016

I would love to see a sister group to BTS.

meltingpot Thursday, December 22, 2016

Davidclol meltingpot Thursday, December 22, 2016

Yes, Homme a male duo. The members are Changmin from 2AM and Lee hyun from 8Eight

meltingpot Davidclol Friday, December 23, 2016

ouh, i know homme. wonderful duo. didn't know they're under big hit. thanks for the info.

jay_t Thursday, December 22, 2016

2 words.... AFTER SCHOOL!!!??

Excavation jay_t Thursday, December 22, 2016

Pledis is just waiting until their contracts expire, and resign only UEE and Nana.

Moogirl Wednesday, December 21, 2016

Yass for Bighit!! I hope to see another group. As for Pledis, please have Seventeen do a US tour or something like that!!! What about After School?! I also hope for a increase in popularity for NU'EST because they have such good songs and everything!! <3<3<3
