Of course, with the news, fans relayed their concern about the vocalist's health, so she has taken to Instagram to reassure them all personally.

She wrote, "Everyone!!  You were really worried, right?  I'm going to take medication and get better quickly, so do not worry too much.  Everyone seems so shocked that I feel sorry for troubling you... It is such a shame that I can't stand on stage for the end of the year.  Please give lots of support to the members' cool stage!!!  I will quickly get better to show all of you my healthy image.  Sorry for worrying you.  Thank you and I love you!!!"

Get better soon!

seems like it's only a serious condition in the beginning, but over time as treatment regimes are worked out, people are able to deal with it efficiently and with no alteration to their daily activities. Even recovering completely from it. So I'm very hopeful Solji will be back soon.

I was curious about this condition, so I used Google to find out what it is, and if or what is the treatment. here's what I found:"The most common cause of hyperthyroidism, is the autoimmune disorder Graves' disease. In this disorder, the body makes an antibody (a protein produced by the body to protect against a virus or bacteria) called thyroid -stimulating immunoglobulin (TSI) that causes the thyroid gland to make too much thyroid hormone""Initial treatment for hyperthyroidism usually is anti-thyroid medicine, or iodine therapy. If you have allot of symptoms, your doctor may recommend that you take anti-thyroid medicine first to help you feel better. The you can decide whether to have iodine therapy."So it seems like it is treatable with medications, which further Google research showed that the dosages of medication may be reduced and possibly eliminated over time.

Damn Jet Li has it too, serious condition and you gain a lot of weight becuz you cant be too active either

hyperthyroidism actually makes you lose a lot of weight because of the overactive thyroid :) Hypothyroidism is the one that makes you gain weight because the thyroid doesn't work well enough!

Hopefully she can get on the right medication treatment and get her life back on track before too long.

Well, to put it in another way, it looks like EXID will have to carry out their schedules without their leader and as a quartet for the time being until Solji finally gets back to her 100% healthy self.  And also, it also looks like the group will have to perform at the year end ceremonies as a four member group and in addition, Hyerin and Junghwa will take care of Solji's lines in their songs.  Plus, I understand that all of the fans who are looking forward to seeing EXID at the year end ceremonies will be disappointed to see that Solji's not there on stage with the other members.  But I hope that they will be understanding of this regardless and look forward to EXID's performances nonetheless even if Solji is not there with the other girls on stage.  So yeah, we may be seeing Solji with the rest of the group at all of the year end ceremonies next year.  So for now, we shall cross our fingers, pray and absolutely hope that Solji will get back to being 100% as soon as possible.

I have hyperthyroidism and it is no joke. It's amazing that she was able to do as much as she did given her condition. Thankfully, with medication, it can totally be treated. I just really hope the fans don't tease her because the medication will most likely make her gain weight. Weight gain is a side effect of the medication used to regulate the thyroid for hyperthyroidism.

I also have hyperthyrodism for about a year now. I understand how annoying it can be :( i was tired all the time.

xnwyngx Tuesday, December 20, 2016

Thats weird, im not allowed to eat seafood because of this disease

ShengLin_Xiao xnwyngx Tuesday, December 20, 2016

but.. i thought hyperthyrodism is caused by lacking of iodine? in order to get better, shouldn't you eat a lot of seafoods?

btslifer xnwyngx Tuesday, December 20, 2016

if you are taking levothyroxine, SSKI, or the likes than in moderation.

NORM ShengLin_Xiao Tuesday, December 20, 2016

Hyperthyroidism has different causes. She might not have the iodine def. kind, so dont expect treatments to be similar :)

ellazh12 btslifer Tuesday, December 20, 2016

hyperthyroidism is not hypothyroid, hypo is when you feel tired all the time and lack iodine, hyper is when you are jittery and sweat, over production of hormones

ShengLin_Xiao NORM Tuesday, December 20, 2016

Oh i got it wrong sorry ^^''

It will take a bit to get her meds regulated then she should be fine. Sounds like she might have Grave's disease which is responsible for about half the cases of hyperthyroidism.
