Director Hong Sang Soo's wife has announced that she does not intend to divorce him despite his very public affair with actress Kim Min Hee.
Though he's already been reported to have filed for divorce arbitration, his wife has expressed her intention to keep her family together. On December 21, her representation told media outlets, "Wife Mrs. Jo wants to keep her precious family together. She has no intention to divorce."
Hong Sang Soo and his wife married in 1985 and have one college-aged daughter. He was reported to have started an affair with Kim Min Hee this past summer, allegedly moving in with her and avoiding contact from his family.
