The official mourning period in the country will be 1 year, with flags flying at half-mast for the next 30 days. People have been asked to wear black, and to avoid "joyful events" during this period. Cinema screenings, concerts and sports events have been cancelled or postponed.

In light of these recent events, JYP Entertainment issues an official statement regarding the '2016 JYP Nation Mix & Match in Bangkok', which was scheduled to take place from November 5-6.

The notice is as follows:

"Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.

As a result of the passing of the late King Bhumibol on October 13, the government has declared a mourning period of 1 year, as well as a 30 day period in which all entertainment related activities will be prohibited.

We would like to notify you that the '2016 JYP Nation Mix & Match in Bangkok' scheduled from November 5-6 has been canceled.

We again offer our deepest condolences to the people of Thailand.

Details on ticket refunds will be posted via the domestic concert provider's SNS portals soon.

Thank you."
