On the August 4 airing of 'I Can Hear Your Voice 3', Jessi had encouraging words for a singer who lost his chance to debut under SM Entertainment. 
Non-celebrity singer Yong Yoon Bin appeared on this episode of the show with the nickname, 'Oppa who rejected EXO'. His unique title was derived from rejecting an offer from the agency in the past. However, he admitted that he regretted doing so, stating, "I was cast by SM in the past, but at the time I rejected it. I regretfully wonder how it could've been now, if it weren't for my rejection."

To his statement, Jessi, who also had a chance to join SM in the past, responded, "I rejected SM too. There is no reason to regret. There is timing for everything."
