It looks like SM Entertainment artists will be getting more of a break than the upcoming vacation to Hawaii with company staff.
On July 26, an insider told media outlets that SMTOWN will not be a part of the annual Chuseok 'Idol Star Athletics Championship' coming up in August as they'll be abroad in Hawaii. Fans are going to have to wait to see SME artists like Super Junior, Girls' Generation, EXO, f(x), and Red Velvet compete in the athletic tournament next year.
SME labelmates like SHINee's Minho and f(x)' Luna previously received gold medals, but they'll be enjoying the Hawaii sun instead of battling it out against the fittest idol stars. During the Lunar New Year special earlier this year, EXO's Xiumin suffered an injury during the futsal competition.
The next 'Idol Star Athletics Championship' is scheduled for the Lunar New Year in 2017.
