DJ Choi Hwa Jung asked, "G-Friend are the only singers at your agency. Have your CEO and managers been treating you differently after your success?" The G-Friend members shook their heads and responded, "Their treatment of us hasn't changed. I think they're more cold and clear-cut the better we do."

When the DJ mentioned that the girls must at least get to eat delicious beef now and then, they answered jokingly, "We only got to eat beef after sending in our opinion that we wanted to eat it."

Still, the G-Friend members were grateful for their success and fans. They shared, "We have a lot in our schedule, but we feel good because people want to see us. Today, we woke up at 7AM," adding, "We always check our place on the music charts."

Even the big 3 companies SM, JYP, & YG don't treat their artists well, what makes people think other companies would? I think that idols are working FOR the company just like the other staffs are working, but the difference is they are put in the spotlight. If they treat their artist like kings & queens, they'll end up with spoiled brats. Idols sign contracts with their companies agreeing that they'll follow certain rules like even practicing until 5am.. it's a different thing if the company 'demanded' for an idol to work with them. But usually these idols are the ones that has passed their rookie years & has achieved a lot. As much as we hate how they're treated, it's what our favs CHOSE to go through to be an idol.

hiroonakamura Wednesday, July 27, 2016

im guessing that the girls are still not earning much money, despite 3 hit songs? that's why you n eed to sell more albums and do concerts. selling singles doesnt earn you much cash

IGOTBUDDIES hiroonakamura Wednesday, July 27, 2016

I don't think that's the case. They're earning money alright, but like they said.. they have so much on their schedule. They don't even have their own cars to go wherever. Even if they had the money, they're still in the early years of earning something and also SAVING. Just like any other normal person, if they know that the company has the money to spend for them, they'd rather use that instead of their own. Even those groups from the big 3 still ask for others or their company to buy for for them..

Don't they mind that they were treated to still practicing choreography on 3 AM ? Don't they mind that they were not allowed to go home before they mastered the choreography ? It is not the problem about eating beef or not. That's up to everyone. Practicing on 3 in the morning is a such pain. Why don't G-Friend give their opinion about that ? I don't care about if that activity is not a weird thing in K-POP and K-Drama. It's about their health. Also, their agency doesn't give much freedom to G-Friend. They are not allowed to play SNS. At least, Sowon, as the leader, is allowed to play SNS in order to interact with BUDDY, to tell the members condition to BUDDY. As a BUDDY, I am not disappointed with their success but I am disappointed with the agency treatment to G-Friend.

lanterngirl billyhalim Wednesday, July 27, 2016

They're not going to die if they don't use SNS. Anyways, if they don't work hard now, another rookie group will swoop in and take their place.

hiroonakamura lanterngirl Wednesday, July 27, 2016

nobody will take their place if they stop training on choreography till 3 in the morning. That's because their song and image of looking like lolitas is what turned them into a hit - not their dances.

lanterngirl hiroonakamura Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Are you sure you're a buddy? Do you even know what a lolita is? They're school age girls. At least when they debuted, almost the entire group except for Sowon was in high school. And someone will take their place if they don't continue with a grueling schedule full of activities and dance practices that unfortunately last all night. Blackpink is debuting soon and they have the advantage of a huge company and tons of marketing under them.

IGOTBUDDIES hiroonakamura Wednesday, July 27, 2016

u r so wrong.. I hated them because of their 'lolita' image.. I only gave in to them after i watched their dance practices. I wouldn't stan them if they had JUST girly/cutesy dances. Even most of the people i got to know who likes gf, said they fell for gf BECAUSE of dances.. even before gf got famous

billyhalim lanterngirl Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Yes they work hard, but the company must pay attention to the members stamina and health.

billyhalim hiroonakamura Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Their dances or choreography are also unique. I see none of them has lolita image. They are all mature, even Umji.

hiroonakamura IGOTBUDDIES Thursday, July 28, 2016

in korea most of their fans are guys though?

IGOTBUDDIES hiroonakamura Thursday, July 28, 2016

wow. did u count or something? lol. it's same with other girl groups. most girl groups have male fans in korea..

qnaug Wednesday, July 27, 2016

they started famous.... rught off the bat....

IGOTBUDDIES qnaug Wednesday, July 27, 2016

i think most idol groups from the big 3 starts out famous. GF received a lot of hate in the beginning because people just didn't like nugus until they went viral & got the attention they deserved. But even those 3 companies treat their artists like ...

DZico Wednesday, July 27, 2016

no offence but why can't Korean just buy beef themselves , who do they always want someone else to buy it for them ?

lovehoney234 Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Because it's expensive as fk... Not to mention that 5 people are going to be eating it

MeBeingAbi DZico Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Cause it's reaaaaallllly expensive. 10 pounds of beef there is like 30 dollars.

DZico MeBeingAbi Wednesday, July 27, 2016

woow ! .. I didn't know it was that expensive , but still why should their company buy it for them then !

ilovecake99 DZico Wednesday, July 27, 2016

its culture. gfriend made them lots of money and thus the company should recompensate in a small way

DZico ilovecake99 Wednesday, July 27, 2016

well the company invested alot of money in Gfrined , they also paid for their stylists , MVs , and music , so it's pay back , it's not like their company didn't do anything for them in return for the group hard work .

Daisyah DZico Wednesday, July 27, 2016

The girls probably don't get keep the money they make yet. The company is responsible for them so obviously they have to feed them lol

DZico Daisyah Wednesday, July 27, 2016

they should just ask their parents .

exocool DZico Wednesday, July 27, 2016

I didn't know that... I'm from Argentina and is cheap.. is really common food

IGOTBUDDIES exocool Wednesday, July 27, 2016

i think it's the type of beef or the way it's prepare that makes it expensive. korean beef for instance is really2 exclusive food. even rich people get excited when they get korean beef as a prize. lol.

exocool IGOTBUDDIES Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Ummh yup, but it's only beef, or meat in general?

IGOTBUDDIES exocool Thursday, July 28, 2016

just beef. dunno what they feed the cows in korea to make it so out-of-the-world tasty. lol

exocool IGOTBUDDIES Thursday, July 28, 2016

Ok!! Thank you :D <3

Winston Wednesday, July 27, 2016

I think the agency dun want to treat them too well and they might be conceited and they are only 2 years debut.

Bella_Strand Winston Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Not yet... They debuted in 25 Jan 2015

Bella_Strand Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Ops... 15 Jan.

Winston Bella_Strand Wednesday, July 27, 2016

I know, its close enough, 1.5 years whatever.

exocool Wednesday, July 27, 2016
