According to the produce of 'Three Meals a Day', actor Nam Joo Hyuk was originally intended for Ahn Jae Hyun's spot on 'Journey to the West 2'.
Nam Joo Hyuk was previously confirmed to be joining Cha Seung Won and Son Ho Joon on 'Three Meals a Day', and the reality series marks his first ever spot on a variety show. In a recent interview, PD Na Young Suk revealed that Nam Joo Hyuk was considered for 'Journey to the West 2' before Ahn Jae Hyun ever was.
With Lee Seung Gi's military enlistment, producers had to find a replacement. Though Nam Joo Hyuk's name came up, Ahn Jae Hyun eventually joined the cast due to Lee Seung Gi's suggestion and connection with him on the SBS drama 'You're All Surrounded'.
