The press conference for SBS's new weekend drama, 'The Beauty and the Beast,' took place on May 12, where Minah talked about playing the lead for the first time ever.
"I am thankful to Director Baek Soo Chan for giving me an undeserved opportunity," she started. She admitted that she worried and felt burdened that she might not do a good job, but the other participants and the staff members gave her support and courage.

"I ended up being the lead of a drama at the same time as Hyeri," she continued. "Hyeri's working diligently so it's nice to see, too. You can expect me to ruin my image while acting. I started with the thought, 'What happens if I come out ugly?' but already cast that aside. I'm a celebrity who lives on eyeliner, but I've taken the plunge to give it up."
