It looks like Lee Seung Gi, who is currently carrying out his mandatory military service, had a vacation and met up with MC Mong to catch up! The two were original cast members of the hit variety show '1N2D', and it looks like they're still friends to this day.

They certainly look like they're having a good time!

I don't think they are the original members but will say that that group was the best for 1N2D.  Also, not sure about this, but I think Seung Gi is not allowed to wear civilian clothes while in the army even if he takes a leave. Maybe the rules have changed but before even on leave they are required to wear their uniforms when they go out.  Hopefully he does not get in trouble and hopefully I am just old and the rule no longer applies.Want to see MC Mong on TV again!

They're allowed to wear clothes for civil, some Super Junio member even went abroad and posted his pictures on SNS. It's preferable for enlisted celebrity to stay calm and not post on their SNS, but if others do it, they won't get hate.

Seungi and Mong are from the first season. Seungi joined like within the first 10 episodes and Mong shortly after. I'd say it's ok to call them original members.

I love Lee Seung Gi he is friendly and loyal beside all his talents

Seung Gi is a sweetheart, a loyal angel who kept on supporting all his hyungs. Those guys with Kang Ho Dong, Lee Su Geun, Kim C, Eun Ji Won and Kim Jong Min were the golden era of 1 night 2 days, the best variety show ever!

Infinty Challenge was and still is the best variety show!

rukiddinme k_kid Wednesday, May 18, 2016

To be honest, 1N2D during their era(Kang Hodong, MC Mong, Lee Seunggi, Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, Kim C) is bigger than Infinity Challenge. Their average rating during that time are around 25% with the highest rating is 33%. They are much popular than IC during that time. Infinity Challenge highest rating only 27% with average rating below 20%. But of course if looking from all the seasons of 1N2D and IC from their starts to today there is no doubt Infinity Challenge is bigger and perhaps best variety show.

Well for me, ratings aren't a factor that decides which I believe is the best variety show. Although 1N2D had better ratings at the time, IC has always had a cult following and a bigger fan base that was loyal to the show. One of the big reason why 1N2D had better ratings is because of Kang Ho Dong and his ssireum background which made him have massive popularity among the older population who also have much more leisure time to watch TV. IC has always dominated the teens to the young adults category, as we all know in Korea, they don't have much leisure time as the older folks.

@k-kid If you think of longevity it's IC. When 1N2D started in July 2007, IC was >>>> but 1N2D started gaining more and more popularity especially once Seung Gi and then Mong joined, it was the nation's variety show. If it was mainly for KHD, then why weren"t all his shows as popular as 1N2D. Your arguments sound a bit bitter. Facts are in ratings, 1N2D s1 >>> IC, for personal opinions, ofc you can think IC is much better. I myself think 1N2D s1 is the best variety show ever, nothing comes close to it. Their impact is till today when 4 of them gathered for a web variety show, some exemples; they call a street food Seung Gi ate as LSG's *insert that food name*. The pond he fell in is called besides its name "LSG's pond". There was a place LSG took pictures in that became so crouded they had to change their place since the locals complained about too much noise. I know I just gave exemples with LSG, 'cause that's what I remember.

I'm not bitter, I like both shows. I just happen to be more of a IC fan, that's all. I'm just stating facts as a Korean person who knows how the older generation thinks. My father, my mother, my grandparents from both sides are all fans of KHD than Yoo Jae Suk because of his ssireum background. As you probably already know, ssireum was extremely popular back in the days. The reason why KHD's other programs didn't do well compared to 1N2D is because older folks don't really enjoy watching shows like IC, Running Man, Love Letter, X-Man, etc., because they find it too childish for them. Older Korean people really like watching shows that travel around Korea and stuff that involves eating food which they did a lot of in the 1st season of 1N2D. So they liked the concept because it wasn't childish to them. Of course, the other cast members plays a big part in the show's success as well since they connected well with one another. And as I've said before, older people have much more leisure time than younger people in watching TV. So if there's a program they like to watch, like 1N2D, then the ratings will go up very easily. It's one of the reasons why K-dramas usually have higher ratings than variety shows because that's what older people enjoy watching. My parents and grandparents are glued to the television screen when it comes to dramas since I was kid.
