Kim Se Jung was one of the lucky 11 to be picked on Mnet's 'Produce 101,' and her mother thanked everyone for voting for her beloved daughter.
On her personal Instagram, Kim Se Jung's mother wrote, "First, I'm very sorry that I'm uploading a letter of thanks like this on social media when I should be visiting all of you personally to give you a deep bow for the love and support, even missing out on sleep late in the night to vote [for my daughter] and to leave messages of support that gave her courage. She has lived diligently and she will continue doing so. I'll continue quietly walking my path, but I felt compelled to share this writing to relay my greetings to all the countless people who gave our Se Jung support despite not knowing her."

Kim Se Jung's mother determined, "[My daughter] will work herself down to the bone in order to become a better entertainer as an answer to all the love you have shown her. Please look on as she matures, and if ever she was to turn arrogant, advise her with your rigorous lashes."
She then concluded her lengthy post with, "Thank you so very much. Thank you. I'll continue living my small life in the sincerest way possible. Please stay healthy, I pray that your home will be full of happiness and laughter."
