'Descendants of the Sun' is the number 1 'hot topic' drama + secures February timeslot

Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo's upcoming fully pre-produced drama 'Descendants of the Sun' is quite the hot topic. And we mean literally!

Good Data (gooddata.co.kr) released their results of which upcoming dramas are the biggest topics. And first place with 31.2% of the votes was none other than KBS' 'Descendants of the Sun'.

The drama also recently (finally) secured its airing date to be February 24 for a total of 16 episodes. This is the first KBS drama to be 100% pre-produced, and by the look of the teasers, the drama has the cinematic quality of a film.

In second place was 'Murim School' and third place went to tvN's 'Signal', and after that was JTBC's 'Madame Antoine'.

The data was compiled during the time period of December 28 to January 4, from blogs, online communities, SNS, news comments and video views, for dramas to air in 2016.
