An outrageous incident involving a 40-year-old man threatening elementary school students and getting violent with a teacher was reported recently.
According to South Jeolla Province's Office Of Education, this past October 16, a 46-year-old man identified as Im trespassed into a third grade classroom wielding a large hammer, looking for the student that allegedly hit his niece.
It was reported that Im struck one of the two teachers that tried to restrain him with his elbow.

The police, who arrived at the scene after receiving reports from the school, booked Im on charges of assault and intimidation.
Im was said to have testified that he became angered after his niece told him that she was struck by one of her classmates.
The school arranged for the students, who had suffered significant psychological shock, to receive counseling.
