Worrying, he stated, "Because I live alone, I don't really get checkups and don't pay attention [to my health]. I want to show fans my best self since I'm actively promoting and singing. I get thoughts that I should probably go to the hospital to treat stuff like rhinitis."�

Kangnam visited a doctor that Kim Dong Wan had recommended, finally getting the checkup that was long overdue. The doctor told Kangnam, "Your condition is really bad. Your nose should be upright but it's crooked. It's because you suffered a prior injury. That's why you can't breathe properly and have an allergy there. Your dust mite allergy is pretty serious," revealing that Kangnam's right side of the nose has become so congested that he can only inhale, not exhale.�
The doctor recommended for Kangnam to get surgery to treat his severe allergy. Upon hearing that he may have to get surgery, Kangnam was rendered speechless. He said, "All the energy was drained from me when the doctor suddenly mentioned surgery. If I had treated my allergy earlier this wouldn't have happened but because I delayed it, now I have to get surgery. I'm feeling regretful and a bit scared."�
