GG comeback

One of the most darling girl groups of Korea are back and they are killing it! You know who I am talking about; it's Girls' Generation! Following their summer hit single "Party," the girls released double title tracks "Lion Heart" and "You Think," the former being a light pop song that just melts right in your ears while the latter is a more bombastic, badass song that will get you shaking it. And shake it you will, especially after you hear the world that the girls placed first place on a total of seven music charts in less than a day. As usual, Girls' Generation prove that they dominate the Korean pop music scene!

Seungri and YG lawsuit

When you are projected into stardom, there comes glory, fame...and legal battles with reporters. YG Entertainment and Yang Hyun Suk filed a lawsuit against a reporter by the name of 'K,' who had apparently written articles defaming the company's past scandals, including illegal expansions of the company building and drug rumors. However, papa YG refuted the claims made in 'K's articles, asserting that what he wrote are false accusations presented as truths. Big Bang's Seungri and an unnamed YG employee followed in Yang Hyun Suk's footsteps, suing 'K' for libel.

(Un)Pretty Rapstars

'Unpretty Rapstar' will be premiering soon with its second season, and a teaser has already been released giving us a hint as to who may make up the final lineup. As of now, Wonder Girls' Yubin, SISTAR's Hyorin, FIESTAR's Yezi, Ahn Soo Min, Kasper, and KittiB have been confirmed to appear on the show. These fierce ladies are anything but 'unpretty'! The remaining 11 contestants have yet to be revealed, but some are naming YG traineeJennie Kim, GLAM's Jiyeon, A.Kor's Kemy, among others. San E will be facilitating the show as the host like he did last season.

BTS Jimin gets a boo boo

News of Jimin's fall from the stage during a fan meet in Japan sure came as a shock to all the ARMYs. Thankfully, the BTS member only suffered minor bruises from the accident, with the rest of his health in stable condition. Thank goodness Jimin is alright!

CL September debut?

For those of you who are anxiously awaiting CL's big break in the western hemisphere, no need to be anxious any longer as the rapper may be debuting soon! Well, that's what YG is claiming, and we all know how frivolous the label can be with their announcements of comebacks and debuts. Just this once, let's give the label the benefit of the doubt and put some faith in them. YG said CL will make her American debut in September? We would be lucky if we got the debut by the end of this year. At least CL is shooting the MV from what Yang Hyun Suk uploaded on Instagram, so let's just keep our fingers crossed.

Kim Ki Bum leaves SM

Former Super Junior member Kim Ki Bum publicly declared that his relationship with SM Entertainment is through. On his Instagram, Kim Ki Bum wrote, "2015 August 18th. Finished with SM Entertainment. Let's begin my new life...!!! Thank you to SM, who was with me until this time," leaving the company on a positive note. Kim Ki Bum, who has been purusing his acting career since his hiatus from Super Junior, has yet to reveal what his future plans are. I guess we'll just have to keep our eyes and ears wide open for any news of the singer-turned-actor!

Crayon Pop car accident

Crayon Pop, who was traveling by car to their next event this past August 20, was reportedly rear-ended by a bus. Thankfully, none of the members were seriously injured, and they were all safe and sound. Let's hope the girls will bounce back from this unfortunate incident and come back to us well-rested full of energy!

Girls' Generation copy cat?

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, or so they say. And it is commonplace for artists to derive inspiration from other artists. However, does that mean it is okay for one artist to completely duplicate another artist's MV? SONES certainly didn't think so. An MV titled "Ring Diamond Di" by Indian artists Akriti Kakkar & Santokh Singh has caught the eye of SONES, who couldn't help but notice that there are one too many similarities between "Ring Diamond Di" and GG's MVs "I Got A Boy," along with "The Boys."

Taeyeon's younger sis joins SM?

SM may just welcome a new rookie soon into their arms! Or that's the rumor that has been circulating online. Supposedly, Taeyeon's younger sister, Kim Hayeon, was accepted into the monolithic label through an unofficial audition. What do you think of this gossip? Are you excited to see a mini-Taeyeon out and about with her older sis?
