According to a survey conducted titled '2014 Korean Star Influencer Chart,' Chinese netizens selectedf(x)'s Krystal as one of the top influencers in China, placing her right under actor Kim Soo Hyun and singer Kim Jong Kook.

On March 13, a Chinese media outlet reported that Krystal ranked third on their influencer chart, receiving 190,000 votes. This was good enough to beat Lee Jong Suk who placed third on the 2013 chart. The report went on to commend the idol star, stating that the fact a female star was able to place above Lee Jong Suk was a big change and the start of a new trend.
The report also mentioned that Krystal gained many fans in China especially through her appearance in the drama 'Heirs' as Bona.
Meanwhile, Park Shi Hoo, Park Ji Yeon, T-ara, Jessica, and Lee Jun Ki also placed highly on the chart, garnering much interest in their current works.
