Gong Hyo Jin to possibly play a kidnapper in movie 'Mama'

Gong Hyo Jin is in high demand lately! Not only has she recently joined the cast of drama 'Producer', but she may also be acting in a new movie.

Agency SOOP Entertainment said on March 19, "It is correct that Gong Hyo Jin received an offer to be appear in the movie 'Mama' and is reviewing it. She is not yet confirmed as part of the cast. She is currently planning to focus on the drama 'Producer', but as 'Mama' is scheduled to begin filming in the latter half of the year, she plans to give it some time and review it."

She is up for the role of a Chinese housemaid who kidnaps a child, while the movie focuses on a mother's instinctive love after her child gets kidnapped. Uhm Ji Won will be playing the role of the mother.

Meanwhile, KBS 2TV's 'Producer' will begin broadcasting in May and has an impressive lineup so far with IU, Kim Soo Hyun, and Cha Tae Hyun as well.
