Unfortunately, the police are finding it difficult to pinpoint the netizen responsible for the rumor claiming that EXO Suho's father Kim Yong Ha, a professor at Soonchunhyang University, is pro-Japanese ('chinilpa' in Korean, a derogatory statement against Koreans who united with the Imperial Japanese government during its colonial reign over South Korea).

According to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station on the 15th, the netizen responsible for spreading the rumor was unable to be located as he or she had deleted all traces of themselves after Suho's father decided to take steps towards legal action for defamation of character last November.

The police stated, "Due to articles coming out on this matter early on into the investigation, the netizen responsible for spreading the rumor deleted the post and removed himself from the affiliated site, and got rid of his traces, making it difficult to pinpoint the suspect."
