Rapper Kanto introduced Kim Dong Hyun during the 'BRAND NEW'S BRAND NEW' concert at V-Hall in Hongdae, Seoul on the 8th, and the two collaborated on stage for Kanto's "What You Want". With questions rising about his appearance, the agency confirmed that Kim Dong Hyun has joined the agency.

Brand New Music stated, "Dong Hyun officially joined our agency as a trainee a month ago, and we planned to give Dong Hyun practice on stage through this 'Brand New Day' concert... Although it was his first stage as a rapper for Dong Hyun, who participated as a sub-rapper for Kanto's 'What You Want' stage, he didn't get nervous and successfully completed his prepared stage."

"It has not been confirmed yet whether or not Dong Hyun will perform his official debut stage at Brand New Music's family concert 'BRANDNEW YEAR 2014', which will open on December 7. We plan for trainee Kim Dong Hyun to make his official debut when he has perfected his image as a rapper and musician. Nothing has been decided yet."
