Jessica, despite her current conflict with SM Entertainment, thoughtfully relayed her condolences toward the death of Lee Soo Man's wife, who recently passed away from small intestine cancer.
On October 6, she wrote via Weibo, "I was surprised when I heard this sudden news. My heart was uneasy. I respectfully pray that the deceased rest in peace. Please accept my deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you - she will be greatly missed."
This post is garnering a lot of attention not only for her thoughtfulness but also because this was her first official Weibo post since September 30 when she revealed she was leaving Girls' Generation.

Victoria likewise expressed her condolences on October 5 via Instagram. She wrote, "I feel deep sorrow regarding the death of Lee Soo Man's wife. However, we are always with [Lee Soo Man], who is like our pillar and our father. We will do our concert well. Have strength," and uploaded a picture of the concert venue in Tokyo, Japan for 'SMTOWN LIVE IN TOKYO.'
