On the November 22nd broadcast of 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook', MC Yoo Hee Yeol asked about a rumor that G.O has a lot of dating experience to which G.O shared, "It is the truth. I want to get married to music. But more than that, I want to get married to a woman. I once said in an interview that starting since my childhood, I dated a total of 20 times. You might know this all already, but until middle school, it is not serious. You want to date? Ok, let's date. So we just date and on 22 Day, we break up. I had a lot of dating experiences like that. I've only had a few times that I seriously loved someone. I think those experiences help me when I do music and sing."
He also revealed how he won over girls he was interested in. "I can't be blunt. Because I think that the straightforward talk can be creepy and burdensome to the recipient. So I carefully ask, 'How would you like to get a bit closer?' Words like that have a lot of sincerity behind them. It's not, 'Let's date,' or 'Be my girlfriend,' but 'Let's get closer.' It creates a lot of interest... [The women] don't reject it blatantly and they say, 'Let's think about it.' So now that those words were shared, next time, I would say, 'I want to date you.' If you say it like that, they like it very much."
On the flip side, G.O also had his methods for breaking it off. "When I would break up with someone, I would usually do it through text. I didn't realize it before. But after I looked it up on the internet, texting was the breakup method women hate the most. I realized then that this isn't right. So the plan B I came up with is if I want to break up, I should [act in a way] that would make her break up with me. This is also trashy. But at the time, maybe because I was young I thought of methods like that... Now I try to date seriously, and even if we break up, I think deeply. I became a more prudent person."
