Recently, the girls have been swept in rumors that the girls were backed by a chaebol (conglomerate). However, Chrome Entertainment explained, "We heard the rumors, but they are definitely not the truth. We do not receive that kind of funding." They also responded to rumors that they had a political backing, and said, "That's shocking. Those rumors are unfounded."
