Recently, the girls have been swept in rumors that the girls were backed by a chaebol(conglomerate). However, Chrome Entertainmentexplained, "We heard the rumors, but they are definitely not the truth. We do not receive that kind of funding."
They also responded to rumors that they had a political backing, and said, "That's shocking. Those rumors are unfounded."
