MBC might have floundered for a while with its TV shows, but now the network's golden era is back!
Everyone knows 'Infinity Challenge' is often considered Korea's top variety show, but that's not the only show MBC has to be proud of anymore! The Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation (KOBACO) did its monthly PEI studies (program engagement index), and the top 7 programs were on MBC for the month of May.
The 1st place spot was taken by none other than 'Infinity Challenge', which had kept its place for 10 straight months since August last year. Second place went to 'Documentary Special', and 3rd was 'Infinity Challenge' reruns. In the #4 spot was 'Book of the House of Gu', 5th was 'Dad! Where Are You Going?' (reruns), 6th was 'Economy Magazine M', and 7th was 'Real Men'.
KOBACO said, "Right now, the advertisement economy should be good, but because of detailed investigations on industries, it's not doing very well. However, despite all this, advertisers are highly interested in MBC."
Other top shows were KBS' 'God of the Workplace', SBS' 'I want To Know', and SBS' 'Curious Story Y'.
