Busker Busker and Urban Zakapa the most played artists on radio last week

Indie bands like Busker Busker and Urban Zakapa are firmly holding their ground against the influx of idol debuts and comebacks!

According to Air Monitor, a service that records the number of plays a song gets on radio programs, Busker Busker's "Cherry Blossom Ending" and Urban Zakapa's "Beautiful Day" were the top two most played songs on radio shows for the week of April 9th through the 15th.

The two managed to beat out idols from major entertainment labels and secure their spots at the top, which is a commendable achievement in the face of idol domination. Perhaps it's the warmer weather that's making listeners yearn for simpler songs as opposed to synthesized dance tunes?

Busker Busker has been faring exceptionally well on digital and physical charts as well, comfortably leading the rankings with their debut album.
