Jang Geun Suk secretly donates $1.2 million USD to Hanyang University

Hanyang University has revealed that they have set up a 'Jang Geun Suk Scholarship Fund' thanks to a generous donation made by the actor himself. Last month, Jang Geun Suk made a donation of $1.2 million USD and asked the media not to report on it. Netizens didn't find out until the school released their list of donators' names on the university homepage. Titled the 'Jang Geun Suk Scholarship Fund', the donation will be used for students in the acting and film department. Students with outstanding grades and/or in tough financial situations will have 50% of their total tuition covered by the fund. Hanyang University stated, "Jang intended for the donation to be used to help students in difficult financial situations who still work to study hard.
