Despite IU's recently released photo drawing much attention due to her assumed major weight-loss, representatives from her agency spoke up on how the idol is really doing.
On September 7th, a representative revealed, "We're not quite sure when that photo was taken, however depending on the angle and condition she was in at that moment in time, it could greatly differ from reality. We brought the supposed issue to IU's attention, and she confirmed with us that she has actually been gaining weight. She's currently very healthy, and is continuing to work hard on her upcoming album."
In the past year, IU's popularity skyrocketed causing for a large increase in promotional activities, and a bigger schedule overall. Fans were becoming concerned with the singer's weight, resulting in rumors being spread that IU has lost too much weight.
IU's upcoming album will hopefully be unveiled in October as the representative revealed, "IU is currently finalizing her album, however it is still currently hard to tell when exactly she will make her comeback. We are aiming for October".
