2NE1 struggles to keep up with SNSD

The only chart where 2NE1 came in above SNSD is on Bugs Music where they came in at 1st and 4th, respectively. Daesung who released his single Cotton Candy, a day after SNSD's Oh! release on the 25th of January, has fallen off into the 50's on various online charts - even though the track was offered for free download for 3 days. Industry professionals believe YG Entertainment released both 2NE1 and Daesung's singles to thwart off and steal attention from SNSD's Oh!, as the release of both singles were so secretive and sudden. However, the attempts were futile as SNSD's Oh! is still currently dominating the charts.
