The second of three end of the year music festivals, and KBS didn't want to miss out on having the barrage of girl groups showcasing their stuff on stage. From established groups to breakout rookies, despite all of the controversies surrounding k-pop this year, 2009 was THE year for girl groups and an excellent one at that. From girly bubble gum pop groups like SNSD and Kara to hardcore hip-hop groups like 2NE1, the girls spread out over a wide variety of genres making every male in Korea a happy male. Every single group performed spectacularly and I'm proud to say that k-pop is at it's finest quality in years.
