Jang Nara says sorry to China

Jang Nara wrote an apology regarding the story she told on Kang Shim Jang that offended some Chinese people. On Kang Shim Jang shown this past Tuesday night, Jang Nara had said, "Whenever my movie's funds went low, I would have to go to China to get some more money." This offended Chinese netizens because it made it seem like Jang Nara was using China for money. An apology statement was posted on her Chinese blog, "We are truly sorry to all those Chinese fans that felt offended by what Jang Nara said. The fact that she only went to China for money was just in the subtitle, it wasn't what Nara actually said. After years of working in China, she has fallen in love with the country. China is her second home." The whole conflict was that Jang Nara's father had invested all of his money into her new movie and every time he needed some more money to help out with the movie, he tried to send Jang Nara to China to earn more money for him. I can see how this offended some people but I don't feel like she revealed this knowing it would sound offensive. A Chinese press said, "Recently, lots of Korean stars have been coming to China to work. Her excuse made sense but I'm sure it was to earn money. She said on the show that she came to China when she was running out of money. This conflict is definitely a problem regarding her status as a Hallyu star."
