Idol Girl Group Members without Make-up

The premiere episode of KBS 2TV "Invincible Youth," which was aired on the 23rd, opened with the exposure of some female idols' raw face. MC Nam Hee Seok and Kim Shin Young gave the girls a pleasant surprise when they invaded their dorms in the middle of the night. KARA's Goo Hara, 4minute's Hyuna, T-ara's Hyomin, Secret's Han Sunhwa, Brown Eyed Girls' Narsha, and SNSD's Sunny and Yuri were woken up and quickly rushed to their destination for filming. What was surprising, though, was that the sleeping beauties(?) were entirely without make-up, photoshop, or retouching of any kind, revealing their bare face to the camera. Many fans have expressed their interest in their natural and vulnerable look that is seldom seen in stars, especially for idol girl group members. As Kim Shin Young speculated, the SNSD duo looked almost too good to have just woken up. Sunny and Yuri were actually prepared for the midnight intrusion as the former confessed, "Yuri has been up since 4AM doing her make-up." G7, as the team female idols is called, visited the countryside during this week's episode wherein viewers were able to find new and different charms of each girl. Kim Ho Sang PD stated, "The show is a real variety with certain members of popular girl groups as the main characters. Since the setting is centered at the countryside, the show will be different than KBS 2TV '1 Night 2 Days' and SBS 'Family Outing.'" Most of the girls don't look too bad, or at least not to the point that I want to gorge my eyes out at the sight of what may seem like the resurrection of Frankenstein. Sometimes people forget that celebrities are as normal of a person as you and me. Of course, there are moments when it may be more difficult to believe than others, but make-up, photoshop, and lighting has the potential to work wonders. Instead of putting the girl groups on blast for their unsightly morning look, let's just embrace and celebrate that the fact that it is common for even celebrities to experience a zit or a bad hair day too.
