It seems the founder of SM Entertainment, Lee Soo Man isn't just a connoisseur of wine, he also likes to live lavishly as well. His new Officetel has been a big topic amongst the Korean Netizens lately. Officetel is basically an apartment that's mixed-used (Office + Hotel), usually officetels are more luxurious than regular apartments.
Lee Soo Man's new Officetel is in one of the best buildings of the Gangnam District in Seoul. The monthly HOA / Maintenance fees alone are 2,000,000 won (around $1600), with the rent reaching 10,000,000 won (around $8000 per unit). His particular unit is actually two units, he knocked down the drywall dividing the two units, making it into one unit. The unit is on the 15th floor of the 23 story building and also comes fully furnished with the highest quality appliances (refrigerators, washer, dryer, etc.) It also comes with access to an indoor pool, spa, and rooftop outdoor pool.
Reports say that these photos have been leaked / released on the internet by netizens in order to gain more public support for TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki in their ongoing lawsuit with SM Entertainment. Lee Soo Man isn't the CEO of SM Entertainment anymore, but he's still the founder / chairman. He also holds the largest amount of shares of SM Entertainment stock so he still has big clout over the company.
