Despite the ongoing dispute with SM Entertainment, TVXQ's popularity shows no signs of waning. In the Channel V Music Video Awards 2009 held in Bangkok, Thailand on the 22nd, DBSK won the Most Popular Asian Artist 2009 award. The winner of the award was voted by netizens in an online poll which saw DBSK accumulating 48% of votes, beating out Big Bang, SHINee, Super Junior and the Wonder Girls. It must be noted that Super Junior got 47% of the votes. credit: ammysorry This was TXVQ's 2nd time winning the award after 2006, showing their immense popularity in the land of thousand smiles. Although the awards ceremony was not held in 2007 and 2008, TXVQ are still considered consecutive winners as the Most Popular Asian Artist.
