Members of Seventeen are being criticized for giving rude responses to their fans.

On an online community, a fan shared photos of the notes s/he exchanged with Seventeen. It's assumed that the fan wrote questions on post-it notes and gave it to Seventeen during a fan sign event, and the members returned it to the fan with answers.

The question leading to the issue asks, "What am I to you?" It's claimed that Seungkwan wrote in response, "My bread and butter [our income]."  Another member S.Coups reportedly wrote, "Woozi fan!", as the fan was known to be a Woozi bias. To the same question, Wonwoo responded with laughter after seeing S.Coup's answer and wrote, "Hahaha Woozi fan."

Netizens are shocked at the answers of the Seventeen members. Comments stated, "Bread and butter... Is he crazy? He must've thought writing that kind of crap is funny", "I'm more shocked that he wrote Woozi fan. He should've said something nice since the fan spent money and came all the way there to see them... Is it that hard to write something nice for your precious fan..."

Meanwhile, some netizens reacted to Seungkwan's brutally honest answer with comments,"This is the reality. Wake up kids", "Fact", "Wow... He should've said ATM instead of bread and butter."

This is not the first time for Seventeen to be stirred up in a controversy regarding rude behavior toward fans. In the past, they were accused of throwing away fan letters.

What do you think of Seventeen's controversial response to the fan's question?

The whole "bread and butter" thing got solved... OP showed that Seungkwan didn't write bapjul, but bangjul, which is literally translated as the string of a kite. It roughly means fate or predestined relationship in the Jeju's satoori. THIS was his answer to "What am I (carat) to you?". Photos as evidence on @scoupstatutu on Instagram.

why allkpop is trying so hard to make seventeen dirty?? you guys are even bringing back the issue about the letters even tho the netizen admitted to falsely acussing them... I TRUST seventee and i know they would never do something to hurt their fans, so stop with all this nonsense cause is getting annoying

How do I report allkpop's bullshit? Like seriously. Plus although this is obviously fake, what's wrong with being their source of income? We do spend money on them.

I love how that fan said he called fans their bread and butter then goes on about how much money she spent to come see them.

Why are people taking  the opinions of an ex-fan who left the fandom in 2015, the same year seventeen debuted, and was only a fan for a maximum of 2 promotional periods, over the opinions of actual current fan-site masters. Even other ex-fans are dragging out receipts to defend seventeen.

It's called having a sense of humor. Some people have darker or dryer senses of humor than others. Chill. Honestly it was hilarious and also both statements were fact. If it make you upset that's problem you have with yourself

whether the article is true or not, people should take this a wake up call, this why people shouldn't idolize a idol, even my sister is like that spending hundred some even thousand dollar just to get idol merchandise, and some even spend many more money and gift them to the idol, the money would be much better spend with your family.

Lol.  I see they have a sense of humor. Don't worry when they become veterans in this field, we're all gonna look back at this and laugh at how ridiculously funny and blunt they were to their fans...if they are still SVT.
