'Infinity Challenge' apologized for dangerous driving.

On the 21st's episode of the show, a scene where the van carrying the members driving the wrong way on a one-way road aired. The scene caused alarm in many viewers because of the danger (not to mention the illegality) of the act.

The show said, "On the January 21st's episode of 'Infinity Challenge' during the 'Your Name' episodes, a scene where the car that the members were in drove in the opposite direction in a one-way street was broadcast. After checking the original footage, we checked that the car with the members entered the street in the blue direction as in the map below from the Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park, and then left the road in the opposite direction of the one-way road as marked by the red arrow. Only the car with the members went up to the upper parking lot of the Imjingak and all the other cars stayed in the lower parking lot, so the staff did not realize that the car with the members in it had driven in the opposite direction. The concept of the episode was to visit places on whim. The driver must have made a mistake and driven in the opposite direction because he was not used to the area. However, the staff believe that it is our fault for not diligently checking what was happening on site, so we are deeply reflecting. We apologize for troubling the viewers and promise to be more careful in the future."

was the driver from japan, Philippines or India by any chance?

Anyway it's common to get confused when you don't know the area.

Yeah, if you killed someone, we would see how you would apologize.

It was all planned. They knew about this and preemptively decided to call a break for 2 months to soften the backlash from the scandal that would ensue from the oversensitive korean media.

i'm not sure how it's regulated in SK, but as far as I know driving the wrong way is an infraction of the traffic code. Which is not directly the law itself (certain areas have different traffic codes, but the law applies to all areas belonging to a country), and therefore is not a crime and so technically not 'illegal'. It doesn't actually involve a judge who will make some sort of judgement about what has happened.

just saying that the article makes it seem a lot more serious than it really is.
