Director Hwang Dong Hyuk has asked viewers to refrain from sharing spoilers for 'Squid Game 3.'
The team behind 'Squid Game 3' is holding an online screening event from June 25 to 27. Ahead of the preview, Director Hwang delivered a heartfelt message to fans.
He wrote, “I’m both nervous and excited to finally be able to show you even a glimpse of the final chapter of Squid Game.”
He continued, “Over the past six years, the cast, crew, and I have poured everything into bringing this long journey to a meaningful close.”
Director Hwang also teased what to expect in Season 3: “You’ll witness key characters at crossroads of fate and Gi Hun’s final decision.”
He also remembered to make a firm request regarding spoilers. He shared, “This show is at its best when watched without knowing what comes next. Please refrain from sharing spoilers for those who will watch later.”
Finally, he thanked the audience and said, “Thank you sincerely for the love and support you’ve shown this series over the years.”
'Squid Game' will come to an end with Season 3. The new season will feature the final showdown between Young Il (played by Lee Byung Hun) and Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae), with the fate of the deadly game on the line.
'Squid Game 3' will be released on June 27.
Director Hwang's letter to fans:
"At last, I’m both nervous and excited to share with you even a glimpse of the final chapter of 'Squid Game.' Over the past six years, the cast, crew, and I have done our utmost to bring this long journey to a satisfying end. I sincerely hope this final installment will live up to the love you’ve shown us and the long wait you’ve endured.
As you well know, Squid Game is most enjoyable when you go in without any prior knowledge. In particular, Season 3 will reveal the fate of key characters standing at a crossroads and Gi Hun’s final choice after a long journey.
Please enjoy the show, and for the sake of the many who will watch it after you, I kindly ask that you refrain from sharing spoilers.
