Despite currently ongoing issues surrounding THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) and China and Korea's relations, upcoming Chinese - Korean film 'Kite Flying' has officially received authorization to premiere.

Reportedly, the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television issued an authorization for the film, due to the fact that there were no reasons the film would have any negative effects on Chinese audiences. The film has now received the clear to determine a premiere date, and it could be as early as this year.

'Kite Flying', starring EXO's Lay, f(x)'s Krystal, UNIQ's Yibo, and more, tells the story of a Chinese singer (Lay) and Korean dancer (Krystal) as they fall in love despite cultural differences.

Do people in Korea know that Kryst has been dating Anthony from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I see them together in Los Angeles all of the time. Not many people know her here so they are left alone. There is a 20 year age difference.

the very notion that THAAD should affect any commercial relations is ridiculous in itself. If there actually is someone in China who actively blocks business because of it they should think long and hard about how nonsensical their actions really are... they won't be praised by the government, their friends and family will think they're an ass-kisser, they are hurting their own business and possibly the lives of any Chinese employee in their company by doing so... it's just plain stupid.

Would it be alright if I put in a small plug for my site? It's a cpop translation site and I've covered a few articles with regards to the ban: cpoplovePlease let me know this isn't alright and I'll remove it!
