On July 28, comedian Jung Hyung Don announced his final decision to permanently leave 'Infinity Challenge'. The unfortunate news of course accompanied many speculations about whether or not the comedian would be departing from 'Weekly Idol' as well.

In response, FNC Entertainment told Herald Corp on July 29, "We have not yet discussed his permanent departure from 'Weekly Idol'. As of now, the decision was made only for 'Infinity Challenge'. It's a bit too early to consider returning to any broadcasts. His health is first and foremost. He will look into his return to broadcasts once he decides to."

Meanwhile, Jung Hyung Don has been taking a break from all of his broadcast activites since November of 2015 for his anxiety disorder.

What are his health issues? Did they disclose it? This is sad news. Weekly Idol will never gonna be the same without him.

He has severe anxiety disorder, which for someone having been in the spotlight for so long, is pretty nuts. Hyung don was the reason I started watching Weekly Idol, I hope they're able to keep him. But of course, I hope he is able to be healthy first and foremost.

is he seeking medical help for this, from psychologists? coz really that's the only effective and best way to fix anxiety disorders. I hope he isnt just spending time away from everything, secluding himself from reality and thinking that will help. It won't

It's korea. They think a bunch of mountain weeds and bitter drinks will cure any ailment.

I understand that asking him to stay etc would give him pressure on his health but I would like to merely voice my opinion (which he does not even need to listen to) that I would like for him to stay on weekly idol because I love him for his teasing and quick jokes and it balances the show out compared to Hani and Heechul

i think the balance is still there but for me Hani is the x factor idk if its good or bad tbh even tho she has been doing a good job personally i like Heechul there bc he kind of embodies Hyungdon's role on the show

I adore him, and I am glad he is taking all the rest he needed.    but half of me also thinks that perhaps there are some issues other than the health issue that is forcing him to leave permanently. perhaps issues like payments with the company, overworking etc. after all he is an artist and he will not stop being an artist even after he recovers from his health issues so I assume that he is not returning to IC (which is a huge success in his career) because of other issues behind the scene. but that is just my Sherlock Holmes side talking.

you know... i think he kinda deserves his rest.... weekly idol can go on with hani and heechul. They're a lot of fun to watch too. I think the next program he's on should be one that is entirely on his terms, like.. also when it comes to filming schedules and stuff... and he should make it in a way that sets actual workable standards for the whole industry. So there's no chance of anyone falling into a depression like he did....
