4minute's contracts with Cube Entertainmenthave officially come to an end.
The girl group's disbandment after 7 years was reported earlier this week, and the agency has now come forward with an official statement. As previously revealed,HyunAhas decided to remain under Cube, while the other 4 members will be moving on.
Cube Entertainment stated on June 16, "Jihyun, Gayoon, Jiyoon, and Sohyun's exclusive contracts ended on June 14, and the 4 have left Cube. We had long negotiations concerning the 4 members' re-signing, and at the end of the mediation, it was decided they would not re-sign. The label is respecting their decision and sincerely cheer on their futures."
Other reports have given hints about the former 4minute members' plans. It's said Gayoon and Jihyun are looking into acting, while Jiyoon is likely to focus on producing and singing. Sohyun will continue as part of skyTV's 'My Pet Laboratory' fixed cast. As for HyunA, we'll likely see her with a new album this summer.
