Chinese fans have started a boycott against J.Estina due to the jewelry brand's recent controversy involving Song Hye Kyo.

Song Hye Kyo fans and fans of the hit drama 'Descendants of the Sun' seem to have banded together to make a statement on social media. As in the below images, an online protest has started among Chinese fans, who are stating, "Apologize to Song Hye Kyo," and "Get out of China."

Chinese netizens also expressed in comments, "J company is not ethical," "They have no consideration for the company's model," and "Let's boycott the brand from China."

As previously reported, Song Hye Kyo and J.Estina have been involved in a legal battle due to the brand's use of her image in advertisements. Though J.Estina reps claimed they had the right because of a contract with 'Descendants of the Sun', drama reps have come forward to state the brand should have made separate arrangements with Song Hye Kyo in order to use her image.

J.Estina already made a final public statement, but it looks like there's still backlash to be dealt with. What are your thoughts on the situation?

wow.... there is more serious problems in this world.. if the chinese could care about just 1% of their own problems like they are doing for this, they could change a lot of things in this planet....

JEstina tried to use a top star to sell their accessories and ride the hallyu wave, but are now finding themselves in hot water. Their legal and marketing teams need to go back to school and review the laws. They should probably review those endorsement contracts they have with drama productions and with the stars who actually endorse their products better before using someone's image that they have no rights over. Good for Song Hye Kyo for standing up for herself and her own brand, she may have worked on the drama but that doesn't mean she endorses the products in real life.
