Former KARA member Jiyoung makes a secretive solo debut in Japan

Former KARA member Jiyoung is continuing her singing career in Japan. However, her solo debut was done in a secretive manner. 

Recently a singer named 'JY' sang the song "Saigo No Sayonara" for the drama 'Higanbana'. The song was played multiple time throughout the drama. Viewers then became greatly curious of the singer.

However, the only information announced was that the singer is an international artist in their 20's. Eventually it was revealed that 'JY' is former KARA member Jiyoung. 

Jiyoung then announced, "Please give me love and attention for me who will be active both as actress Jiyoung and singer JY." She also shared her goals as she said, "I want to become a singer who can present various kinds of music. To achieve that I am going to challenge myself to different genres. I also want to try making music myself if I get an opportunity to do so."
