His rep disclosed on December 8, "Jang Geun Suk will be appearing on 'Produce 101.' �He will be playing a mentor to the contenders."�

The show will be an audition survival program targeting 101 female trainees from both national and international companies. �The ten finalists will form a project group and promote music with the backing of CJ E&M for a year.�
