The user Aqua Z says that the way these award shows nominate and choose the winner for their categories (eg. best male dance group) is wrong. The petition says a group shouldn't be chosen just because they are popular, and that award shows should have legitimate judges.
It also says "there should be an appreciation for art", and to have a variety of artists performing and being nominated at these awards. It says fan voting should be taken away, so lesser known artists can stand a chance.
What's interesting is that the petition and many comments agree lesser known artists should be represented, and it's not about popularity. Yet most of the netizens who commented on the petition are specifically upset about popular group BTS not being nominated.
The petition began on change.org and so far, it has over a hundred signatures. Do you agree with the petition?
