INSOLENTLY, GO GO - EPISODE 9
Ha Joon brings Yeon Doo back to camp, where she chews out Soo Ah. Later on, after camp songs, they gather round the campfire for a game of Truth. The adults gather in their tent, and Teacher Im reveals that he loathes Principal Choi. That night, both Ha Joon and Kim Yeol have Yeon Doo on their minds. They all go for a walk, but she meets up with Kim Yeol first, who confesses to her. Before she can answer, Ha Joon sidles up and suggests they get something to eat.
Back at school, Soo Ah tries desperately to find the security cam footage that Ha Joon and Kim Yeol obtained of her pocketing the USB drive. She breaks into Kim Yeol's dorm and finds it (ironically on another USB drive), but Teacher Yang shoos her out. Soo Ah's tutor suggests bribing them.

Hyo Sik finds the USB and shares it with their classmates using Yeon Doo's computer. Soo Ah blames Yeon Doo and throws her down a flight of stairs, but Kim Yeol grabs her just in time and they both go tumbling down together. Yeon Doo pulls herself together, but Kim Yeol is unconscious, head bleeding...
Poor Ha Joon, I think he's stuck in the second lead, though he hasn't made a formal declaration of love. It's clear he has a thing for Yeon Doo, even smiling when he summons up some of the memories. I think it's been there for awhile, but I thought maybe he just thought of her affection as friendship. But apparently she has melted the ice that gripped his heart. But does he know of Kim Yeol's interest and will the two come to blows over it or will he just step aside? I'm hoping she lets him down easy.
They spent a lot of time and energy on the USB with the footage. I know they'd showed us hints before, but I figured it would come up in a different way, maybe Kim Yeol holding it over her head or maybe blowing things wide open so she gets expelled. I think it may be academic (no pun intended) now, since everyone seems to know what she has done. What I wonder is, does the Principal know? And what will the parents do once they get wind of it?
I'm frankly surprised Soo Ah turned murderous. Maybe I shouldn't be shocked, but I still gasped when I saw her push Yeon Doo. Then again, she did arrange for Dong Jae to be practically beaten, putting his touch-phobia into overdrive, so maybe it's not so far-fetched. This episode particularly surprised me, because she just got more haughty when Yeon Doo dressed her down. And believe me, Soo Ah got her chops busted more than once.
What I wasn't shocked at was Kim Yeol's behavior. He's been watching over her, protecting her, hanging out with her, enjoying it whenever she had some kind of victory, no matter how small. And now, in this episode, we finally get a confession, and some major jealousy later on. We never find out what Yeon Doo thinks, and I don't think she knows of Ha Joon's interest. I know she was amused and taken aback by his jealousy, considering the fact that they're not even dating yet.� �
So, will Kim Yeol pull through okay (probably), and if so, how long will it take? Head injuries are never fun, and potentially dangerous. There's bound to be consequences for Soo Ah, and I can't wait to find out what happens next. This is a dark and unexpected turn. Are you guys loving it? Let me know in the comments below. �
