After SM Entertainment announced their intention to take legal action to prevent the continuation of Kris and Luhan's illegal promotions, China's Sina reported that Luhan's lawyer was interviewed for a comment. However, the law firm, which represents both Luhan and Kris, denied that any interview was given.

The lawyer apparently told Sina, "SM released a notice after they filed a lawsuit, but we did not learn of this matter until we saw the articles. We are surprised that such a notice was released when both sides are working on settling in the midst of the ongoing lawsuit in Korea... We're not sure of the content that was filed with the Shanghai court. But if it's a matter of the exclusive contact, then it is something that should be filed with the Korean court, the Shanghai court has no jurisdiction regarding this issue... Our side will also issue an official notice, and we will work to figure out matters regarding SM's notice... Luhan also does not know about this new lawsuit, Luhan is only hoping for a peaceful settlement from both sides during the third mediation being held on the 6th."

However, when the lawyers handling Luhan and Kris's case (Hankyul law firm) were contacted about their alleged interview with the Chinese media, their reps responded, "We are not conducting any interviews regarding Luhan or Kris. We are not aware of an interview with Chinese media. We will have to look into the Chinese report in question to confirm the truth of the matter."
