Now more details have surfaced. The program, titled 'KARA Project', will air on MBC Music and its first episode is airing on May 27th. I think this is a fantastic idea. From a promotional standpoint, this makes sense because singing competitions are quite popular so this will give KARA more publicity in a more intimate way than the everyday ads. Also, the new members will have a smoother transition in KARA because the fans will already know a little bit about them and possibly why they were selected for the group. Go KARA!

Kamilias want to not support this but DSP does not care. I support this and will support the new members. I want to give them a chance before I boo and be unsupportive. Shouldn't other Kamilias be supportive and open their hearts too?

As a fan, I can understand how the idea might not sound so appetizing. But from a business perspective, this makes sense. Ultimately, the girls' contracts are going to expire and if they want to keep the group alive, they will have to continually add more members. Imagine if they only promote with 3 members and years down the line, they all decide to leave? There is no backup for the company and replacing or even creating an entirely new group is risky when you have a group that has a brand and a following already.
